Our Core Beliefs

• In the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God.
• In the Supremacy of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the one and only Savior, the Head of The Church.
• In Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ the crucified and resurrected Lord.
• In the Holy Spirit who seals, reveals, convicts, empowers, and guides us to be like Jesus on a daily basis.
• In worship that honors God, our Heavenly Father and exalts Jesus, the Son of God through the leading of God, the Holy Spirit.
• In the inherent value of all people who are created in the image of God.
• In the church and its mission as a witness to the world, proclaiming the Gospel message of the Kingdom of God.

How to Know Jesus as Lord and Savior

We at North Freedom Baptist Church believe that the Bible teaches that each person has sinned against a holy God and that we are separated from Him and need to be forgiven of our sin in order to truly know Him and be at peace with Him.
The Bible teaches that the consequences for our sin against God is death. But that in His love for humanity, God provided a way for us to be forgiven and receive eternal life.
The gifts of forgiveness of sin and eternal life are given freely to those who believe in Jesus as the Son of God, the one who died on a cross for the punishment of our sin and rose from the dead to new life.

​Read the verses below and if you desire to have your sins forgiven and receive eternal life honestly tell Jesus that...

1. ​You believe you are a sinner, and deserve to die for your sin, that you hate your sin and that you desire turn away from it.
2. You believe that Jesus is the Son of God according to the Bible and that He died in your place taking your punishment for your sin upon Himself and rose from the dead three days later to new life.
3. You are surrendering your life to Him and accepting Him as Lord over your life.
4. You are thankful for His death for you so that you can be forgiven and receive eternal life.

• Romans 3:10-11 (NIV) 10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
• Romans 3:23 (NIV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
• Isaiah 59:2 (NIV) But your iniquities (sin) have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
• ​Romans 5:8 (NIV)  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
• John 3:16-18 (NIV) 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
• Romans 6:23 (NIV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
• Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
• Romans 10:9-11, 13 (NIV) 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."  13  for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
• Matthew 16:24-25 (NIV) 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me (follow me/believe in me), he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. (surrender your life to Jesus' control) 25 For whoever wants to save his life (trusting in themselves) will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me (trusting in Jesus alone) will find it.
